How to Fix Error 0xc00000e9 on Windows 10

The 0xc00000e9 error code on Windows 10 is a problem due to hardware incompatibility or defective device drivers installed on the PC. If a device driver is defective or does not function properly, it can be identified by the yellow exclamation mark on the driver in the device manager. Most of the time, updating faulty drivers will help solve the problem.

Try these methods to solve your problem.

Method 1: Remove the external device and update the defective device drivers.

I recommend that you remove all external devices connected to your PC, except the mouse and keyboard, and check if you can start the PC and connect.

If your PC starts up without problems, connect the external device one after the other and check which device is causing the conflict. Update the driver software of the device that caused the problem and verify that the problem is solved.

To update the defective device driver, follow these steps:

  1. Press Windows + X on the keyboard and click Device Manager.
  2. Expand the defective device driver option (check the driver with the yellow exclamation mark).
