If you have had problems with updating Windows 10 Fall Creators since downloading and installing the main update, you are in the right place.

This update contained the usual complaints about installation errors, random blue screens, etc. Microsoft has become much better at releasing more stable versions of Windows 10 and prioritizing devices that get the update first, developing software that runs on countless different hardware configurations is not an easy task. Despite that, problems are still expected on the way.

Before you dive into this manual, you should note that you may encounter two types of problems when installing a new feature update. Depending on the path you choose to upgrade, you may see errors that are common problems that are not errors, and you may also encounter errors that could be caused by errors.

Before upgrading your system, do the following:
1. Completely uninstall the antivirus or other security program from your system.
2. Disconnect all unused USB devices. (for example, USB wireless mouse or keyboard receiver, USB wireless network card, etc.)
3. Be patient.....the update takes a few hours to download and install.
Before using the methods listed below, run Windows Update Troubleshooter from Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshooter > Windows Update.

How to fix it: Windows 10 version 1709 problems

One way is to download the Windows 10 Media Creation tool and use it to create a Win 10 installation program on USB, then try the update via USB. No need to download 4gb several times for it to fail.

Fix 2 - Updating time, region and language settings

Another unusual solution that seemed to work was to update your account time and language settings. As we all know, Windows automatically synchronizes your time based on time zones. If you have the wrong time zone, you may encounter strange problems, for example if you do not install your update.

Press Windows + S to start the search bar. Enter "Settings" in the dialog box and open the result.

Check that the date and time are set correctly. If this is not the case, disable the "Automatic time setting" and "Automatic time zone setting" options.

Click "Change" under Change Date and Time. Set your time accordingly and select your appropriate time zone. Also turn "Auto Sync Time" off.

Press Windows + S again and enter "Language" in the dialog box. Open the first result that comes out.
Try using UK/US English in the language settings.
Click on "Additional time, date and country settings" in the setting window.

You will be redirected to another window with the same settings. Click it one by one and check that the settings match and are the same as the ones you set.
Once the changes are complete, close all windows and restart your computer. Now check if the problem persists.

Fix 3 - Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
